Comments (16)Does Houzz post any reviews at all? We (members and forum participants) are able to comment freely about products, brands, gadgets, etc., and often do, but there isn't a particular forum for just that purpose. I've read scathing and glowing consumer reviews about everything under the sun. What else are you looking for?...See MorePop-up message issue - still a problem with Houzz/Gardenweb
Comments (9)Brad: Thank you for the info. I got PlantStep back up and working last week. AdwCleaner moved it to the C drive and labeled all the files with a .vir extension. I had to use a program that will delete the .vir from the PlantStep files in bulk, reinstall PlantStep and then overlay the cleaned files back into PlantStep to get all my data and pictures back into the software. I would caution anyone on using AdwCleaner. I have a program within Windows that does a check of Services running on startup which will give me a list of programs that I might want to not have run on startup. I even disabled the AdBlockerPlus, cleared out the cache, temp files and still the issue with Houzz continues. The message is definitely being generated from Houzz. I upload photos to other sites without issue. Just Houzz has something that changed. I already got notification from Windows that my version of Windows and Apps will not be a problem with the new update. I'm still waiting for the message that I can install which probably won't happen for a few days as they roll it out....See MoreHow were you helped by gardenweb/houzz?
Comments (38)I found this Decorating part of GW via its Kitchens. Forum. As we were starting to plan our total kitchen gut and remodel, the folks on the Kitchens were a huge fountain of information and advice. Everything from how and what to do to set up a good, working temporary kitchen, to opinions on granite vs Silestone and other counter choices, appliances, andvwhere to find the best hardware for my new cabs online. I learned about Silgranit kitchen sinks, ordered one at the recommended online place. . . and will be forever grateful for that! Gosh, I love that sink!!! I saved so much money and stress by accessing Kitchens! And then one final bit of advice on how to keep your sanity through it all: a glass or three of wine every evening (LOL)! From there, I found our wonderful GW decorating forum....See MoreGardenweb Houzz gets more and more irritating
Comments (29)I'm on a mac laptop and these changes appear on some forums and not others. I was thinking it was gardenweb staying the same and houzz forums being in the new format, but that's not it. I switch every thread to oldest first, so I can read what others have said. But then when I get to the bottom and may want to comment, the comment box is up at the top, even though I switched the order, so I have to scroll back through the whole thread up to the top. And the best answer stays at the top, so the new comment is below that. I also cannot "like" comments or thank people on my threads if I'm in firefox, I have to switch to chrome, or safari, both of which I dislike using....See More- 2 years ago
