I LOVE lacunosa - yours is VERY pretty and I can see all the other little hoyas in the background! (just wish it wasnt so hard for us Canadians to get them) Thank god for Pike Lake!! He gives really nice little plants - Ive had mine about a year now and is coming along really nicely (mindu mine is just the regular lacunosa) - have to say it is my favorite! And once it flowers - I hope I'll love it even more!

His psychiatrist's office called me Monday because she has not taken him for his appointments and they said he would be out of meds for his ADHD. snip According to the other g'ma, the reason mom did not take him to his appt was because she was afraid of what he would say to the Dr. because he was mad at his mom and the BF. His Dr. is very aware of GS's feelings about having to move back wit her and the BF. hmmm...if the Dr called you and they GS is out of his meds, I'd be tempted to call child protection services and report that she is not properly seeing to his care. It imagine it would be a good thing for GS to be able to speak to a Dr. If you wouldn't be concerned at getting audited (the hassle) I'd be tempted to claim him for 2010. You might ask a tax person (or attorney) what proof you would need that you were responsible for more than 50% of his care in 2010. I would stand up to 'the mom' and her BF and not allow them to push you around. I doubt if there would ever be any ramifications, and eventually she will likely dump GS at your door again.

I was so very sorry to hear this news. My husband Tom and I read her books faithfully. Another of Rouan's and my sisters was a fan as well. Tom and I met her once when she was on book tour here in California. We found her to be warm, kind, thoughtful, and delightfully funny. And yes, there is to be no Z. She was just working out her ideas for the final volume, and stated that she didn't like the idea of a ghost writer. Perhaps it might have been different if she was nearly done, but apparently that was not the case. At least that is what I extrapolated from what I read.
