I would do cream, not black. You need to have some fullness though, or else they won't look right. So if something full covers up too much of the window area for your taste, skip it. The console in front of the windows looks out of place.

I think charcoal drapery panels might be a bit more interesting than plain black and still work with your selections.

The rod will be mounted to the ceiling.

You have no header above the windows to even use a rod and rings, you need a flush to ceiling installation.

I would use an ivory faux linen, and I would get a pro curtain fabricator to your home. Panels should be an appropriate fullness for the window, even when they are stationary. A bunch of skinny string like panels, will look........not good. Not good at all.

Beware too much black, and the tall return cabinet hutch at the desk? I'd lose that : ) along with the mirrored console under the window.

I think contrasting panels will frame the windows better. The off white doesn't do anything for the room.

Not sure about black nor whites. But existing colors in room would work great.

Omg that is brilliant. How did you do that? That really shows the effect it would have in the room Amazing. Now I am not sure what look best. I do like bold for a reaction from the colours. Its a tough one.

I hate fake drapery that in no way can function I like your space just the way it is but I would do solar shades on those windows to control heat and UV but allow you to totally keep the view . If you need the privact at night then do actual drapery that can close and still look nice and full I like 2.5 times the size of the rod but even drapery panels will require that stuff on the window wall to move a bit forward. to allow them to hang right so why not do real drapes .

"Fake drapery" ( curtain /panels) are different than drapery and are REAL window and room enhancement, when executed in appropriate fullness/fabric and style to the window, when well made and when equally well installed.

It doesn't matter what another likes , or "hates" in their own personal space.

I’m generally not a fan of colored or heavy drapes, but I like the camel tones that celery has mocked up.
