grout mismatch - is there anything I can do?
Comments (4)Hey, nothing is what I do best. DH already can't see the difference but of course I still can. When you say be careful do you mean the grout can still be damaged 24 hrs after it went down? As for me it will just be a barefoot beeline to the toilet. Thanks, I'm really happy with how it came out. This guy pretty much dropped in my lap - I was coming back from HD with a bag full of electrical supplies and I'm stopped at a light in a turn lane behind this guy who says he's been tiling for 20 years and has his website on the back of his truck. Checked it out when I got home and saw a lot of nice looking work. Had him out for a quote and the rest is history. Sometimes things just work out....See MoreStair and Floor color mismatch
Comments (9)just get new treads that match your new flooring. (or get white oak treads and stain them to match) don't know what kind of wood you currently have on the stairs, but sanding all of those down and then staining, would prob cost just as much to get all new treads. Then I'd paint you handrail (actually I'd replace those and update it, but if cost is a factor, paint them) and I'd paint the risers (your current risers) white. This way all you have to replace are the treads, and stain them to match the new floors. Like this. the treads match the floor, the risers are white, the spindles are straight squares painted white, and the railing and newel posts are painted black. you could get a replacement railing and stain it the gray color to match the flooring,,everything else is painted white otherwise, the two woods will never match...See MoreWhat are some guidelines to make mismatched cabinets work?
Comments (14)So glad you like Johnny Grey's work, I do as well, and the pics are really inspiring. I'll try to post some pics of my unfitted kitchen later today, I painted some of the cabs and walls in June, but it's not fully put back together yet, and won't be till fall, summer is too important to spend inside....See MoreBought a rug but it mismatches with my entire home color scheme
Comments (47)The reason the sofa has to be on long wall is because it provides more open set up. It is easy to change your cable location. So, up to you but just wanted to make sure you understood the logic. Your son is adorable!!...See MoreJason Pearson
