This is the order our general contractor did things in: Demolition Plumbing- set pipes behind the walls Electirician-set work behind the walls Drywall went up Shower base began to be built up Floor warming system went down (in shower and in room) Shower base was finished (it was a multi-day process) Then floor tiles went in Then cabinetry Then plumbing fixtures were installed electrical outlets, switches and fixtures were installed cabinetry was installed then marble countertop sinks, toilets, faucets mirror over vanity then minor stuff, moulding, towel hooks, tp holder,etc.

I think you've made great choices so far! For the counters, I think a lighter color would keep the room from getting too heavy, with the black vanity and dark gray floor. White granite would be awesome, though hard to find/expensive. Caesarstone nougat and Silestone Mont Blanc are colors to look at if you want a solid surface; just be sure to take the marble-like tile with you when you pick a counter, as the marble can run to the blue end of the spectrum, or the more cream-colored end. It can make a big difference in the overall color scheme. I really like recessed medicine cabinets, so think about whether your contractor could do that. Obviously lots cheaper to install would be a wall mounted cabinet, and those are easy to find in a style that compliments your vanity. If you want to stick with the craftsman style of your vanity, Home Depot has white medicine cabinets that would coordinate really well. And as said above, sconces that go on either side would be possible if you shrink the mirror. If your budget is tight, consider just putting some trim around the existing mirror to create a frame. Even though big mirrors are "out", they can be pretty nice to expand the illusion of space in a narrow room. And consider how the mirror is attached to your wall. If it's heavily glued, removing it will wreck the wall. Are you replacing the tile that's on the rest of the bathroom walls? As for paint, a very very pale aqua can look great with the cararra marble finishes. I'd be careful not to go too blue because it can look cold and/or garish. I actually would consider doing a dark gray wall, perhaps only on the top half if you're keeping tile on the lower half. If you use glossy paint, it can look very rich.

You can buy a nice soak worthy tub for $249 and a high efficiency toilet for $99 at Lowes. I just did this myself. Rather than buy things to coordinate with a color that you don't really love, I'd replace the yellow tub and toilet first. Here are links... We have a similar paint color in our master bath (medium oak cabinet instead of dark) and for years I had dark blue and rose towels. They've finally worn out and I was really sick of the rose, so I went looking for a "splash of color". I went to Target and bought a floor rug in every single color, except burgundy because it doesn't go with the new color scheme in the bedroom which is greens and blues, they had in the Waverly line (their Thomas O'Brien and Fieldcrest lines are great, but costs twice as much and we're not really that hard on towels). DH and I laid them out and analyzed. A few we ruled out right away. DH didn't like the Hotel Gold, but that might work for you with the yellowish sink top. We settled on Loch Ness, a mossy green shade. I wouldn't have thought it would work, but it did. You might try the burgundy as well. Anyhow, the cashier looked at me kind of funny when I checked out 8 different colors of the same rug, but she understood when I explained. It really helped to see them firsthand. I was surprised by what we ended up choosing, but like it very much.
