You are looking for "glass bead", which was made in 3 standard shapes, several sizes of each shape, and of course countless custom shapes and sizes. There are still a few profiles of it available at "real" lumber yards, but if you need something else, or a hardwood, it will have to be custom made. Casey

I previously had a house from a similar era. I went with a Simpson Doug Fir 6-lite door, with a 1 panel fullview storm & screen door. You had to swap out the screen seasonally, but it did the nice wood door justice. Do you actually use the storm door for the screen aspect? If not, and a wood storm door is out of reach, it might be better to just skip the idea of using a storm door. A solid wood, quality replacement entry door is pretty darned energy efficient (especially compared to what is there now). You can finish it with Marine grade finish so that it is water resistant. Also your door is considerably under the overhang so it shouldn't get too badly beaten by the weather.

Ok. I suspected you didn't have a lot of experience with stuff like this, and wanted to help you avoid a big, unnecessary project, or get taken advantage of. If you need more feedback after you've looked for a professional to fix this, or talked to one or two, please re-post.

Regardless of the material you use, I would plan such that the stoop landing and step treads were of substantial thickness .... 3 1/2" is a good minimum. The thinner they are, the cheaper they look. Currently, they look like an inch or slightly less. Not only does it LOOK like the individual bricks can be easily chipped off or broken, they actually can! If these materials are 3 1/2" or greater, they appear and ARE much stronger (and longer lasting!) Builders cut costs wherever they can and exterior landscape material thickness is a common place where it is done. But it's not worth it as the structures don't last. And neither do they look as good. Also, consider treads that are 16" from front to back as this makes the stoop easier to use and much more substantial and luxurious feeling to the user. Since you're working on the area, and since the walk needs some repair, you might consider upgrading the walk. An enlarged landing would help the overall appearance of the property. And the shrubs no longer seem to be contributing in a positive way
