Oh, I totally understand. I know your eye for color though just from being a "lurker" to the boards. I really would appreciate any help at all with this. I am painting my old, worn-out vanity "Bittersweet Chocolate" by BM and this picture just "hits me the right way"... I cannot tell you how many sample pots I have in my bathroom right now :) I know everybody loves SW sea salt and I thought that was going to be the winner until I put it on my wall. It really is baby blue. I did change the light bulbs to "Reveal" but it really doesn't help. I am looking for more of a green and the Sea Salt did not go anywhere near green for me. I also tried a color from Behr called "Pale Lichen". It is "mostly" nice but looks a bit "minty" in spots (the brighter lit areas). UGH! Why is paint so hard to get right? You get this picture in your head but that doesn't mean it is going to work on the walls.... Sorry for rambling. I am definitely in paint sample h-ll right now! I really do appreciate your help in anyway. Your best guess is the best guess that I could get !! Thanks! Cheryl

As I began to read your description I immediately thought of a medium greyish green, so I think you are on the right track! Next stop should be to get a few sample cans of your colors and try them out. That's the best way to know for sure.

Thank you for your comment randy427. I believe this must be a light fixture from the 1960s when our house was built. I would like to sell it and I am wondering how to price it. I can't find anything like it online. Would you consider it a nautical style lamp?

The only pole variety I know that has green seeds is King of the Garden... and even those are not bright green. Not always green either, I had white seeds from a different vendor. King of the Garden has very large seeds - much larger than any of the varieties already mentioned - so probably not what you are looking for. Based upon your description of the dry beans, chances are that the limas you remember were bright green because they were harvested immature. One of the heirlooms that I grow (1880's Butterbean) is darker green when immature, but those seeds have reddish-purple stripes when dry.
