Do you want to still see the trim above the window or cover it up? Do see the treatments as a privacy thing that will go up and down often, or more as decoration? What is the decor vibe for the rest of the room? Traditional? Contemporary? What kind of furniture will be in this bumped out area, if any?

No furniture will be there. dsrk gray leater contemporary sofa and coffee table. Pretty minimal dor furnishing. definitely need privacy, it faces a busy street. but want to keep option to open to let light in during the day

I would not do fabric romans for a rental, those windows look pretty tall, so that is a lot of fabric to open and close and fabric romans always require dressing to get them to look prefect, which means they need to be touched. Depending on budget, how much

privacy or not, you could consider wovens either lined or unlined. You could also consider something less expensive and fairly forgiving like a cellular or day night shade.

With a bay you also have to consider the depth of the headrail of the product you are using. You want the smallest headrail becuase of the angles at the top. Cellulars and day night shaes are great for that.
