I think crazy fits me right now, lol. All this obsessing over details, that, like you said no one else will even care about.;-) I love ORB hardware and fixtures, and I like some ORB faucets too but am fairly particular about the finish on them. I love the stainless finish on the Danze but haven't seen the ORB irl to know if I'd like it as much, so I'm a little nervous to go that route. I'm sure any of it will be fine, and I just need to pick one and move on to the next detail. Thanks for the feedback on my kitchen. Yes, I know it's different. When we moved into our house, it had a dishwasher. It broke, within a couple months. Dh can fix anything, so he bought the part and fixed it. Then, another part broke. OK, so I'm done trying to glue that dw back together. We bought a new one (when we redid the floor from all the water damage). We bought a nice one, about $500. It got the dishes very clean, worked great, for about 2-3 years. I had been limping along with it, pretending that it did dishes when it started making an awful noise. I finally quit using it, but didn't notice that water was collecting in it and sitting. Yuck! Dh took it out, since we couldn't afford a new dishwasher so soon. Nor, did I think it was worth the money. It also seems to me, that my counters are cleaner this way. With the dishwasher, I would put the dishes in and not do the other dishes. They would sit there for way too long. If I'm hand washing dishes, I do it one to two times a day and do all the dishes. I know a lot of people have much better luck with theirs, but I cook a lot, and if I have one I stick everything in it that I can, so it runs a couple times a day.

Those reviewers appear not to know that. But whether you pay $300 or $3000 for a stainless steel sink, it will scratch. After a while the scratches blend into a patina, and you don’t notice them. But if you truly don’t want scratches in your sink, you should not get a stainless steel sink. Get a different material like Blanco Silgranit or Kohler enameled cast iron. For a stainless steel sink in your size, I like to recommend the Elkay Crosstown ECTRU30179RTC which comes with a sink grid. Elkay is a good company, and their Crosstown sink has a corner drain. The granite composite sinks in the whites or creams colors tend to be higher maintenance. They stain more easily, and are harder to keep looking clean. The granite composite sinks in the darker colors are almost carefree. I previously had a BlancoDiamond Super Single in the anthracite color (a charcoal), and I had to remind myself to clean it, it was so easy-care. So if you decide to go with a granite composite sink, avoid the white/cream colors. The Blanco Silgranit anthracite or coal black colors look very sharp in a kitchen, especially against your white counters. Then if you get a faucet in a polished chrome, it's like jewelry against black velvet.
