I'm grateful my cousin put me onto the weekly photo challenge. I've been having so much fun with it and learning a lot too. More ICM: Intentional Camera Movement. My sculpture of "This Man Who Flies" transformed into a whirlpool of water.

Record high temperatures in recent years. Causing record high evaporation from bodies of water. That cause their own storms of increasing intensity. Including newly developed lightning that sets more fires. Burning thousands of square miles of forest, increasing almost every year, including parts or all of a number of towns, even cities. Every tree that used to take in carbon dioxide and produce oxygen ... ... now using oxygen to produce carbon dioxide. Mother nature telling heedless humans who think they can live as they please without major consequences ... Volunteer squash I grew for years. It was the only squash that resisted all the many diseases and pests here. I may still have some saved seeds, but I don't think they're good any more. Green fruits were good too - like a sweet zucchini.

I am grateful for modern medicine. These are keeping my 13 year old dog stable.

Grateful I can get this done today finally! I can't tell you the accident that I avoided. If this is all I got from what happened, I'll gladly replace my windshield.

As you can see if it had gone over to the right another two or three inches I wouldn't have had any damage. And it's either mud going at a very fast velocity or gravel. That's all I sustained. For which I am also incredibly grateful.

ETA: and it was supposed to take hours. Done in minutes and ready to head south for sushi lunch with work friend. Grateful for that too.

Our wonderful, sweet, cuddlebug Kip is a very grateful boy. After 3 disastrous fosters, he found us and now lives with our daughter who he adores. And she adores him, as do us as his grandparents who babysit him a lot. Finally, Kip has the happy, safe, much-loved life he deserves!

My dad's Kodachrome slide late 1950s - grateful for my parents, without whom I wouldn't exist...

Also thankful for my dad instilling a love of photography in all of us kids 🙂
