need design ideas for small bathroom 6.5 X 8
Comments (21)I was asked on another thread to post a picture here of my bathroom as it's pretty small, 10 ft x 4ft 10. Some of the things we did to make the small design work: * made whole width of room the size of the shower * tiled to top of wall * used large format tiles in stacked pattern on walls * emphasized width using a horizontal glass accent * kept vanity unit small (24 x 16) * used large format floor tiles * kept colors simple and lines clean * we will also be using a frameless shower door, yet to be installed that will keep it all simple and open looking....See Moreneed help w/ tile- design for girls bathroom
Comments (3)I saw this tile in a shower for a girls bathroom and thought it was cute. It was for alittle bit older girls but if they like the beach and shells it will grow with them. The trim only is glass tiles and the shell inserts. Not sure if you can see the inserts well. They are all different. I hope so. Good luck with your planning. I know it is so tiring to make all the decisions that goes with re-modeling! Margie...See MoreWhat to do with blue vanity top in retro 1960 bathroom
Comments (20)I would leave the counter as is, but stay away from blue walls and would suggest the same color as the creamy/white tiles on both the vanity and walls and change the hardware. Once you have made your other changes, then reconsider if you want to change it (would suggest a professional if you aren't handy). I think once you have added really great floor tiles, the room will all come together and the counter will only add to the look or not even be noticed. You could replace the medicine cabinet per the idea below and add sconces for a nice look....See MoreBasement brown bathroom needs help
Comments (16)Thanks all. I’ve got a lot of good ideas here. I’m going to get some light greige and greenish-blue paint chips and probably come back here for opinions :) PS Re: lighting - I’ll look for a vanity light that doesn’t point downwards. I also have a ceiling light+fan by the shower, but the light it gives is not super bright or nice. Wonder if I can change the bulb. Thanks again!...See MoreBeth H. :
