Comments (15)Sophie, I understand where you're coming from but it is far too late in the design process to reconceptualize. I can definitely agree with you that our method of planning is atypical. But thats why Im in this mess. Ive never built a house before... The architect didn't give me the color scheme. That is up to me to choose. Should I do white paneling similar to the first photo. Comments (11)I would use energy hill trusses and raise your roof +6", also Chief Architect sticks shutters, by default, over the window trim.. If you like them I would push them out. Why is your beach house raised 1 story? Is that because of hurricanes, flood zone? Comments (5)Your yellow siding looks great with the brick, but the blue trim doesn't go at all. I'm not sure I like the trim around the left window, so, I'd consider removing it. I'd paint the trim either a warm brown to go with the brick and siding or a sagey green. I'd paint the garage doors to match the house. The current white is very stark....See MoreGina Bahl
