Living room entry door layout issue
Comments (6)Thank you so much for your input. I thought putting tv there (where the soccer goal is) would be a bad idea since that’s the “hall way” to 4 bedrooms - 2 on the right of the goal and 2 on the left. So traffic would constantly pass the tv. As for the garage / we would actually take down a wall and have it completely incorporated in home with the same tile of current floor installed. We would still leave about 5 feet of “garage” enclosed you be accessed outside by garage door. I feel with 2 kids and this awkward space more “living space” is needed. Additionally the tv would be installed there (no tv in current space). Was thinking a sofa and 2 chairs ? Pull it together with a rug etc. Obviously my walls are plain and need life but figured getting the furniture sorted would be first then accent everything else. Comments (13)I like the general layout you have, with maybe Beverly's change to some chairs for lightness. Large end-table and lamp in the corner -- that leaves room next to the door for a smaller entry table with a drawer, if you need a place to drop mail or hide mittens. Large piece of art over the two chairs or loveseat. I'd try to use all art in this space, and keep the family photos in the more residential/private zones. You don't necessarily need decor around the TV, although some prefer it....See MoreLiving room layout? 3 focal points? Need your help!
Comments (1)I should add, the area behind the larger couch is a walkway of sorts. You can see our front door in one photo, and the archway leads to our master bedroom while the other direction heads towards the dining room and kitchen....See MoreHow to layout furniture in living room with front door? no foyer/entry
