Gray Paint with Green Undertones?
Comments (10)I see big differenes between the Gray Horse and Horizon Gray. Bewtween the 2 Horizon Gray has more green undertone than Gray Horse. Horizon Gray also appears 'airier' to my eye. If you move over one more strip to Gray Mirage you will get another grey-green w/ a bit more green than Horizon Gray and a tad warmer than Horizon Gray. They all have green undertones but to varying degrees. Starting w/ the least amount of green: Gray Horse 2140-50 Horizon Gray 2141-50 (airiest and most ethereal of the 3 to me) Gray Mirage 2142-50. I'm looking at all 3 colors together so it's easier to pick out the differences instead of viewing them seperately....See MoreLooking for a grey paint with green undertones for exterior

Comments (3)Before I make suggestions, do the floors look more pink or yellow in your light? Not looking for the "undertone". Just your gut reaction when you look at your floors. Pink or yellow? Or something else altogether. And even though screens are not accurate to show actual color, I do have a few suggestions based on what I think your floors probable are. None of these are too light or too dark. BM Wind's Breath BM Pale Oak SW City Loft SW Egret White....See MoreSerious Gray - What colors can I add to get blue undertones out?
Comments (15)@judianna20 suggestion of adding more blue is also a great suggestion when she said to add richer blues to the space. It will tone down the blue in the vanity and may be a less expensive option than changing floors and painting. I like to think of a home almost like coordinating an outfit. What shirt goes with which pants with what pair of shoes and which jewelry, top it off with the perfect shade of lipstick and nail polish, the right purse and coat. Probably the most important step is finding a style and color that looks good on you, the rest follows. When I plan colors for a home I start with the things that must stay (anything I can't afford or do not want to change). At this point you have already picked flooring that is in the main area of the house, kitchen cabinets, trim colors, countertops . . . Ideally, with a new build I like to have the color palette locked down before picking any of the finishes, but with existing homes or homes where these choices have been made you can't just ignore what is there. We also can't ignore things coming in from the old home. Most of us can't afford to build a new home and buy all new furniture, art and décor. Second thing I decide is what the main accent colors are going to be. I know that seems backwards to a lot of people, but the accent colors should be the very personal colors that make your heart sing. Those colors that you buy all the time because they bring you joy. Walking from room to room in your home should bring you joy. Having art and accessories / décor items that have the colors you love will bring you joy. Literally, seeing colors we associate with happy memories increases the dopamine production and makes us feel happy. Those are the same colors that call to us when we are shopping and make us bring them home. I use the things that must stay and the colors you love and see how I can make these things all work together and how I want to pull colors from one room to the next so that the colors flow. Using one color as a main accent in one room and as the secondary color in the next room, adding and dropping colors as you move through the home. I love these examples Once I know how I am going to use colors I can search for the best neutral to use with the colors. To me walls are the backdrop that makes the artwork and décor sing. It isn't the main attraction. I choose a main neutral color family (pink beige, orange beige, yellow beige. green beige, greige (between green beige and green gray), green gray, blue gray, violet gray and taupe (between violet gray and pink beige). After I pick the neutral color family I pick a white that works best with the neutrals and colors. This process helps me create a feeling of harmony as you go from one room to the next. Everything works together. I am not a pro and don't earn a living doing this, but I do this as a hobby and have helped a lot of people find their way through the process of choosing colors or found answers when something is just not working....See MoreLori A.
