There is a lot of confusion about the style which I would say lasted from about 1940-1970 and mixed and encompassed styles from deco to colonial revival to 18th century French and American in with midcentury modern. I place it in this extended period because I consider William Haines, Dorothy Draper, James Mont, Tommi Parzinger, Karl Springer, Michael Taylor and Tony Duquette all to have worked in this style, to some degree. Does anybody want to add any designers to the list of the originals? (I think Kelly Wearstler revived it and Jonathan Adler cashed in by copying individual pieces of their work verbatim, but I will really try to reference original period. I think as with other styles we have worked in, Hollywood Regency will pretty much be an application of the style to a kitchen since the typical HR house would have had a period kitchen of 1940-1970, and it would have likely been a pastel Saint Charles kitchen with a big Chambers or Tappan Fabulous 400. So I think we are going to be applying Hollywood Regency furniture styles to a current kitchen rather than recreating kitchen that would be in a Hollywood Regency era house--which goes back to a "period kitchen" design. So any designers to add to the list? Any comments on my thought process on this?

You don't say whether these are all custom cabinets, different semi-custom lines, etc. and knowing that would help. Also, knowing the arrangement you made on getting the bids / designs would also help. I assume from the way you phrased it all of these provided free design service and a bid. If thats the case, I see no issue with going to any of the three and asking them to tweak their design and bids based on elements you like from other designs. Its not like you would be handing over detaile plans - but rather saying to the other two what if we did this. That said, I would ABSOLUTELY haggle with the high priced one. I too had 3 bids - different cabinet lines, etc and we liked the highest priced one the best - but they were out of line in terms of costs with the others. I put a spreadsheet together showing the different elements of the job and compared each quote and shared it with the high priced one. I told him we were interested in having him do our job but his prices were out of line with the other bids we obtained. I also offered to be flexible in timing - letting them do the work sooner rather than waiting a few months like we initially planned so they could fit it in during some downtime. In the end, he dropped his price to be much much closer to the others and we went with him and were very pleased with the results. HAGGLE, HAGGLE, HAGGLE !!!!! Anglo, I agree. Why say something so rude instead of scrolling on by a thread that you can't be helpful on? It seems to happen fairly often. I think finding just the right shade of either color to match paint might be a challenge, unless you find the curtains first, then match the paint to them. So I'd go with whichever curtains you find that look most like what you have in your mind. Are you opposed to a print? I think there are some great fabrics that mix those colors. I keep picturing vintage barkcloth, but don't really know if vintage fits your style...I found some prints I think would look good with those colors:

Idk if this is in discussion - not a pro, but the royal-rich blue on leather is very striking... almost too much with white background rug. If you have a liked item that you've placed around experimenting with your furniture, could use for inspiration/// whether 'pretty' colors [from the rug maybe?]... or transitional textured pillow and rug with bright blue in art.. etc.
