I saw that on CNN earlier and sent a little prayer his way. I use and love several of his products - the rice flour a staple in my kitchen.

Oh sorry to hear. I use and enjoy many of his products and they say it's a company that's good to its employees as well.

Not a day goes by without a bowl of extra thick oats! During the pandemic, when my grocery store didn't have any, I ordered from them online!

I'm not a big user, but I can see how he and his company have made healthy and nutritious products more available - which is a good thing.

The local Portland news interviewed him when he turned 90. He took them on a tour of the company. The reporter could barely keep up with him.

Every Christmas I go through about 4 pounds of his old fashioned rolled oats when I make Crispy Salted Oatmeal Cookies.

I am so sorry, for his family as well as his employees! I love his products and have used many of them for years now.

Here's an excerpt from an article in the Oregonian about Bob:

"Josh Hinerfeld remembers approaching Bob Moore roughly 20 years ago as a consultant, working for a client who wanted to buy Bob’s Red Mill.

Moore said no, saying his grain company had been getting offers nearly every week — but Moore was not interested in selling.

Years later, Moore instead transferred control to his staff through an employee stock ownership plan. On Feb. 15, 2010, Moore’s 81st birthday, he told his employees that he’d turn over shares in the company to workers."

It would seem that the company will go on.
