@User, it wasn’t so much ”classing it up” as it was providing a firm surface underneath so that when you had the plate on your lap and were trying to cut something, the whole shebang didn’t fold up and scatter your food everywhere 😂

I probably still have my wicker plate holders...but they turned out to be rather dumb. The point of paper plates is to avoid washing dishes, but these wicker things would get messed up, need washing, and with all the little nooks and crannies are harder to wash than plates!

We used them so to buy the cheap, thin paper plates. It wasn't to avoid washing the dishes, it was to avoid getting the dishes broken on the patio or picnic.
