Hi Meghan! I'm installing the same countertops and have the same question. I'm hesitant to use white subway tile for backsplash though because they make the countertop look a bit ivory. Now, I'm looking at gray subway tile. Did you go with white backsplash? Does it match the vincenza? Would love to see a pic of your final project to help me decide!

I can't speak for MSI, but I've had Quartzmasters quartz for a year and have had zero issues with it. No chipping (and I have very sharp edges), no staining, nothing. I was told it was made using the same Breton technology that the other main quartz brands used, whether that's true or not, I don't know, but I have been very happy with its performance. Don't know anything about MSI, but I've heard that brand mentioned several times on this forum, so hopefully others will chime in about how it's held up. I think the MSI Statuary Classique you posted is very pretty!

It shouldn't need to be replaced. A stain that is darker in color typically indicates a residue on the surface. Surface residues simply need to find the right cleaner to remove them. My first questions would be: What are the recommended cleaners? What have you used? What were the results? Typically a bleach based cleanser removes most household residue issues. In some cases, an industrial type residue can be left behind by installers and/or trade workers, such as silicone residue for example. An industrial residue would require an industrial strength cleaning with solvent based cleaners, where the fabricator should be able to provide this. On acetone, it doesn't do much for Quartz to be honest, and is better suited for natural stone. Denatured Alcohol would be better, and for your purposes, if a bleach based cleanser does not work, I would try Isopropyl Alcohol above 90% if you end up doing it yourself. Never let the alcohol sit on the surface for a prolonged period of time, however.
