Read up on lighting and how it affects color. For example, which directions are the windows facing, where you live (Northwest lighting is way different than Florida lighting, for example). Get large removalble swatches from https://samplize.com. Depending on the lighting and how light a neutral you want to entertain, check out BM French Canvas and Ballet White. Also Dove White is a great white for trim with these or most other colors.

Your lighting, natural light, and flooring color are going to impact how white looks in your space. And the same color will likely look different in different rooms. As mentioned above, you need much bigger samples.

To give you an idea of how fickle whites can be, I had one room with big windows that looked over a lush backyard, my barely cream white looked green in that room because it reflected the leaves.

I used this side-by-side comparison tool to eliminate some colors that looked too pink, too yellow or looked too cool before I went out and purchased samples.

I myself ordered several big samples from Samplize after using small samples to make a short list, and looked at them several times a day in different locations. In one case my top candidate was apricot in the afternoon - no longer my top candidate.

You could always bring in a color consultant if you want more input before repainting the whole house.

I sampled BM Seapearl when I was choosing colors (I moved four years ago). I liked it, but I ended up going with Soft Chamois, which is just a little less yellow. I have two north facing bedrooms (not the best lighting). Soft Chamois is nice under those circumstances and looks good elsewhere as well. If you are engaging a painter, ask them which brand they prefer so you don't spend a lot of time choosing a color from the wrong brand. Painters get used to the characteristics of a particular brand and some of them don't want to switch, plus they may have a discount at the store where they buy paint based on their purchasing volume.

Definitely graduate to larger samples as you narrow down your choices. I always end by painting a section of wall (a board you can move from room to room is better) at least 10' square. This is the third house I have painted top to bottom. There have been a couple instances when I thought I had the right color, but after seeing the larger sample I changed my mind.

Select a neutral white, NOT one that leans too warm.

Hardest choice for us. We opted for SW Creamy. It's a perfect combination although these photos will show much cooler than reality. It's worth a look and I love it. We went with Cashmere on walls and ceiling in flat, and Super Paint Satin for all trim. All of which is SW Creamy as well as kitchen cabinets albeit in Laquer rather than latex paint.

Again, it's warmer than what you seen in the photo. What we found by walls/trim in the same color but different sheen was that it really doesn't show near as warm as the swatch by itself. Hope this helps.

We had most of the public space painted in the Winds Breath, but it just looked too yellow in my house, so I ended up repainting it all with White Dove.

Just painted an east facing large room in Farrow and Ball White Tie - near match to BM Linen White. It is warm and wonderful.
