If it froze, you will be able to tell by stirring. It will either be completely separated with water on to and a curd of solids on the bottom, or it will be lumpy like cottage cheese. In either case it's useless, but if it didn't freeze, and there's no mold growing on top, try it on a sample board to see if it dries and applies within your expectations. Sometimes mere age is enough to spoil stored paint. When it has dried for 24 hrs., wipe with a wet sponge, if any color comes off, it's trash. Casey

Use BIN or Bullseye 123 primer (made by Zinsser). Tint the primer to the color of the paint to be used. You may need two coats of primer, depending on the desired paint color---lighter than the paneling migh look better with 2 coats of primer. Then use the latex of choice. I lived in a mobile home where I painted the dark walnut paneling. I primed(using 123) and painted pastel blue, violet, or yellow---depending on the room. I did not need to prep the paneling at all. Nothing but dusting to remove the surface dust. A second coat of paint was added ten years later---first coat had faded a bit.

IMO the all-white look trumps the band of green/ochre. The stripe does nothing for the flow, as it's too contrasty and narrow to hang together. Casey

This is what I was afraid of LOL .. I sort of knew that the blue was too much so I wanted to post pics before I proceeded. Okay well my blue paint can go in the bathroom (at the other end of the house LOL) If I use the Cream on the kitchen walls I will just use the same color that I plan of painting in the front room. It's a rich warm creamy white creamish lol.Sooo you think cream for the kitch walls versus continuing the gold color I guess you cant go wrong with the cream. won't it all look like one color. the white cabs against the cream? I'm not worried about .. the plates will put some color there. Just trying to decide now between the cream walls or the mustardly walls. the walls (adjacent) are Very very close in color to laura ashley Gold 3 Okay..
