Comments (5)I have no idea without seeing your space the furniture you are trying to work with all we can do is guess.I hate grainy floors they add another thing to deal with . Get a swiffer and use it if showing dust is a problem as for scratches that depends on the finish of the floor.I assume these samples are sitting on your floor now so what is the issue with those floors....See MoreI need help choosing flooring!
Comments (8)You need to look at installed photos of those floors. The darker one looks like it might have a large range in the color of the boards and will look like patchwork and busy once installed. Also be aware that most sample boards are hand picked using the nicest looking planks! I went to several flooring stores that carried the brands I was interested in to look at more than one sample board. When I narrowed my choices to 2 products, I ordered a full box of each to really be able to see the color variation in the product. You will waste money on the one box you don't pick, but well worth it when you are ordering thousands or tens of thousands in wood floors....See MoreNeed help choosing flooring for Kitchen.
Comments (4)Can’t go wrong with a (real) wood floor. Warm underfoot, easy on the legs, easy to care for, and goes with all materials. Thousands of us here, can attest to wood being a great choice for the kitchen…even if you have dogs, cats, and children....See MoreNeed help choosing flooring
Comments (9)I just purchased wool carpeting for my bedroom. I was amazed at how many options and colors there are. For your living room which seems bright and airy, I would consider some wool carpeting in a warm beige tone, but also one which has some other specks of color within it. If you cannot afford wool - it can be pricey - you could get a lighter shade berber with a combination of colors like tans and grays, and specks of a darker color here and there. These colors don't really stand out but rather add a dimension. Your tile is not just beige. It looks like it has some dark tones within it. If you got a carpet that was completely solid it would make your tile stand out whereas if you got a carpet with an interesting texture and color both floors would be more cohesive, and look like you planned it that way. And, if your carpet and tile are on the lighter side, this would be an opportunity to paint your walls - or just one wall - a darker dramatic color from a neutral palette....See MoreHU-30326731
