Does anyone put heat lamps into bathrooms anymore?
Comments (59)Sure, Build.com and other sites sell them. Found one in about two minutes. Here But they are not going to work for a sloped ceiling. No one probably makes one that swivels like you would need for that application. Heat in a radiant form, as in a light bulb heater, travels in a straight line and you will be heating whatever surface the ceiling pitch has the bulb pointing at. You need to build out a triangular box to put the fixture in. You can drywall it so that it is not as obvious as mine was. It is not a great picture, but in the upper left side of the photo you can see the maple triangular box that gives my light fixture a level surface to hang on....See Moreanyone here have a 'fragrance lamp' (like Lampe Berger)?
Comments (27)I've tried making my own oil with alcohol and the essential oils, but never could get the scent just right and they seemed to clog up my wicks.. so I stick with mixing the La Tee Da oils with the 91% alcohol. Mustangs - do you have a favorite floral scent in the La Dee Da oils that isn't too flowery? I might want to try something different next time I order....See MoreCan anyone tell me anything about this old lamp
Comments (3)Oh my gosh! I remember that style. I don't know if its "in" again yet. Everything seems to come back eventually. Check ebay for "60's lamp" "70's lamp" to see if you find similar and what they are selling for. If they are not of any great value as they are, I would paint them turquoise, put an ivory wash over just leaving some turquoise peeking through, and painting the candle part so it doesn't look dirty. And a nice fresh ivory shade. Or whatever! Let us know what you do. Kathy...See MorePreferred Candle Lamps for Windows?
Comments (11)I found some at Hobby Lobby. They are LED and made by INGLOW. They are real wax, use batteries and when you screw the bottom in, it turns them on and they stay on for five horus and turn themselves off. The next night they come on for the same time and stay on for 5 hours. You can reset by unscrewing and screwing in again. They are expensive $19 or $20 for a package that contains two but if you catch their half price sale it's only $5 and if not, then you can use the 40% off coupon that comes weekly with their ad BUT, the most I've found at any one store is three packages. I don't know if they are popular and so there is just a few left or they just get a limited number for each store. Anyway, I LOVE THEM! I've always wanted candles in the window as well and years and years ago I bought the plug in ones -- What a pain -- they didn't last long. So I gave up. These sort of flicker as well. Here is the house lit up with the candles!...See Moreeld6161
