Is this Friday the 13th?

First I had a nosebleed which dripped on my rug. Then the plumber came to rotor rooter out the line where the tree roots grow. This is the third time in a month and something else is probably wrong. Yesterday we had an overflowing washer and powder room toilet. The plumber we called said he couldn't do it and to call Drain Doctors who cleaned the line twice last month. If this doesn't work, he said they will have to send a camera in. Then as we were going to the trail to hike, our car was dead. We have a portable kit that started it and got to the trail where I met a friend to hike with. As we returned to the parking lot husband said the car won't start again. This friend has a 2018 Subaru Outback just like ours only red and ours is green. She jumped us and we got home and changed cars to Husband's reliable Honda to get us to Trader Joe's.

The funny thing is Yahoo news yesterday said to pay a little more but get this highest-rated car for reliability, the Subaru Outback, and the car pic was even green. This is the third battery this car has had. And it's only January 2nd. Hope the rest of the year is better.

Micro I'm sorry you didn't make it to the beach :-( It sounds like you got some good re potting done though! I don't think my flower will last more than a couple days. Left over tamale casserole. Then, heated up danish I purchased when I drove back into town, got a killer deal on a used over the oven SS GE microwave. Had to drive to the next town over to get it, good thing gas is so cheap right now. :0)

What a way to start the year. Maybe you’re getting all your bad luck out of the way now. I used to have to have the roots cleaned out of my main drain periodically. They looked at it with a camera abd it was badly cracked in several places. Had to have the entire thing replaced, but no problems since.

Hope tomorrow’s a better day.

Wow! Sounds like with the car and the drain they haven't got to the 'root' of the problem yet! So sorry. Did you say rabbit rabbit?

Also be sure to check your blood pressure. GF ended up in the ER with a nosebleed that was caused by very high undiagnosed bp...

Oh man, let's hope that's the worst day you get to experience.

As an aside, there was a class action suit- regarding Subaru batteries. I don't recall the details but I have a 2017 Legacy and had to replace the battery I think in 2020 or 2021.

SUBARU BATTERY CLASS ACTION SUIT

I applied for reimbursement ( had all the receipts and mileage info) but since I didn't notify Subaru at the time, I was disqualified......makes no sense as I was stuck in a HomeGoods parking lot about 10 miles from home and just wanted my car to work and AAA was able to do it.

That’s a lot of hassle for the start of the year. I hope the rest of your year is better, but it sounds like you will have to make a few repairs for that to happen.

Checking in and no better today. When I came down this morning husband said the car started right up and he was taking it to our mechanic at noon. At noon it wouldn't start again even being jumped by our little unit or jumped by his Honda. Called back the mechanic who said to call AAA. That person is sending someone out but said you don't have a membership and we have had one since 1980. Apparently, we didn't get the bill and it ran out on December 31. More good news...NOT. Our mail delivery has been awful and I haven't received mail I was expecting either. The water situation hasn't been a problem YET but I haven't done a wash.

Salonva...Very interesting about the class action suit against Subaru. This is our third battery in a brand-new 2019 car.
