Bought a camel/butterscotch down altn.
Comments (40)Sharee, the red quilt really pulls out the color in the pillows. I like it on top of the bed. (But then again, I like color, natch.) I agree that the fur is too small. Maybe you could lay it at an angle or drape it on one corner? Regarding the duvet cover, the way to avoid having to "fuss" with it is to turn it inside out, sew a 12# length of fabric tape to the bottom two corners, do the same to the bottom corners of the comforter, and tie together. Keeps the quilt from shifting and easily comes undone when you want to wash the duvet cover. BTW, I love your spider chair!...See MoreVery comfortable sofa??
Comments (26)We recently purchased two England sofas - made in USA and division of Lazyboy. This is a stock photo --we didn't get those pillows, but rather pillows to match an England chair we also bought (I am Not affiliated with England or Lazy Boy). My husband is 6'3" and he calls them more of a conversation couch, but he can lay on them fine. Initially I was set on Flexsteel, but I didn't want a puffy sofa and we could buy two of these for the price of one Flexsteel. We paid extra for the firm springs & framework, so cost was about $1300 each. If I change my mind down the road I won't feel as guilty. It took 4 weeks to arrive, far less than the other sofas we were pricing. In the past we've had Palisar sofas but they got too cushy too quickly. Years ago we had a Lazy Boy section which we really liked and survived 3 kids romping on it so we thought we'd try it again....See MoreMatching Sofa or Whole "New World" Sofa?
Comments (16)Yes, I can get the same sofa in a smaller size, I had those other 2 gray sofas custom made to be extra long to seat 4 people on each sofa instead of 3 (or 2). I wanted more seating in that area, but I couldn't put a U shaped sectional or 3rd smaller sofa there because of the post. After I decide on the other, new sofa and chairs, I'll put 2 chairs next to the 2 gray sofas. So there will be seating for 10 in that area, and then 3 on the new sofa, with 2 new chairs for a total of 15 places for people to seat in that room (so hopefully people will stop dragging chairs to that room (which is the main place the adults gather in the house.) On the other side of the pony wall, there will be a "live edge" dining table with 6 chairs, then 6 bar stools for the kitchen island. That adds another 12 seats for a total of 29 seats. So everything is sort of "planned", I'm just stuck on this 3rd sofa issue. Matching or no ? But yes, I can order the same style/fabric in a new, smaller size sofa. And yes, I was thinking a smaller, matching sofa, 2 "light/airy" chairs, (something with thinner legs, etc.) and a small coffee table. Then add a coordinating rug to match/compliment the new larger area rug (that I'm in the process of looking for now.) Also, if I get the same sofa in a smaller size, do I get the same pillows? (Each sofa comes with 2 pillows of choice {and the "choices" aren't great.}.) Thanks!...See MoreSuggestion / Ideas on furniture color / fabric selection
Comments (16)I still like sofa A...love the color with the walls. I would like to see the loveseat the same. I am looking at your first photo...I like the rug laid in that direction. I think the back of the sectional (your new sofa) should be moved back to almost the end of the hardwood floor.. The love seat placed ( but pulled out( from the interior wall where the bench is now. All front legs on the rug. Which leaves the bay window area empty waiting for two chairs. Either the white or the same blue as the sofa....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
