I spent some time off this season replacing the interior door knobs in my house - the old ones were ugly, painted on, and had to go. Probably a vintage find for someone, but not me....they can find my old ones at Habitat. The coat rack on the wall is a functional item I installed a year or so ago.

Small electric kettle I bought before my trip out West. I wanted coffee and hot tea without having to use the gross coffee maker in the rooms we stayed in. It's now being used in my makeshift kitchen.

I bet you think this is a picture of my Christmas breakfast. Well, it is but the functional item is the matches under the table leg to prevent wobbling!

When I bought this house there was a huge unfinished hole in the cabinetry, next to the stove. The was a rubbermaid can in the hole. When the older owner who had remodeled the place stopped by, his first question was - Is the trash compactor still there? What??? The giant hole has a purpose?

I don’t understand why these things aren’t more popular. I would never live without one again now that I’ve experienced it.

The solid little item worked great for my Mom until she lost her footing after her heart attack. She uses my walk in shower now but this handle is so close to the toilet that I am leaving it there for her.
