HELP me pick a green color combo for my dining room please!
Comments (6)As a colorist, my first impression is that all your greens are too blue and the darkest ones a bit too raw. I agree the 2 light greens look too minty and may remind you of the old hospital greens which you don't want in your dining room! Rosemary Sprig is the best of all your samples, although hard to tell with the highlight on it. I would find a green that has a tad more warmth to it - more on the yellow side, and perhaps a touch browner, which would be a bit more livable. I find that paint colors tend to look lighter and brighter, or more colorful once on the wall than they do on the chips. Keep in mind that darker colors will make a room appear smaller, lighter colors the reverse. Good luck!...See MoreI need help picking a pink for my 10 dd's room, Please
Comments (10)kmcg85- Love that pink! It definately has that cheerful look about it. But I'm not sure it will match with the pink in the comforter. I took my comforter to SW and the interior designer there matched the other colors with it, because I am not good at choosing colors. busybee3- Ice plant looked alittle on the purplish side with the comforter. The window treatments are the same ones that come with the comforter set, valance and Black and white polka dot drapes. I'm planning on doing alot of black and white polka dot accessories. lori111- Thanks! If it was up to me I would do soft white walls, but dd REALLY wants pink walls!...See MoreHELP - I need help in my dining room
Comments (39)And....it's finished!!! Thank you, BeverlyFLAdeziner, for the great idea. I hope you see this because I LOVE the way it turned out. It really does add a fresh new look to the room and it's something I never would have thought of doing. Not bad for 2 days worth of painting and about $100 bucks in supplies. Now on to new drapes and artwork! I'll post some progress pics below. Love it!...See MoreHelp me pick art for my living room + dining room!
Comments (10)No, I don't think it would look awful. I love big art pieces. The important thing though is do YOU like it? It's your home and it's important that it please YOU. Looking at your picture, I'm wondering if the art above the sofa isn't a tad big for that wall. (I really like it, btw.) Usually, the eye appreciates some breathing room around art. If you have painter's tape, try taping out that canvas' size above your couch and see just how much wall it covers. That might help you visualize its negative space better. Good luck and enjoy the process!...See MoreKatie Campau
