I wanted to find examples of beautiful paint treatments, but kept finding textured accent walls instead. They are lovely!

I think an accent wall is going to look chunky and odd. Why not paint the entire room, walls and ceiling, a grey-pink shade? Accent walls look to me like someone was too afraid to paint the whole room so they just did a wall.

What a great bed. And am confused by wide plank floors in what looks like a newer home, but man are they great floors.

i'm saying "no" to accent wall. What I think would look really good is darperies to the floor and rod installed at proper height (at least 3" higher and 3" wider than the window frame.)

Also, could you add molding around the room (top of regular height walls). I think it would make the room look more interesting.

I actually did start to paint the whole room the grey-pink color, starting with the wall behind the bed. Interestingly, the pink wall with orange tones of the antique pine bed against it looked wrong/clashy. So I repainted it back to the antique white and then considered doing just the one wall, which is just too tall and challenging to paint without total commitment.

As for the floors, they are wide plank pine. It helps to have context (seeing the whole house and setting) but they are lovely.

I wouldnt paint the wall, but, I would try to find draperies in the correct shade of pink, to go with the bedding, for the window. The white drapes, do not add any interest to the room.

I love @elcieg's idea of adding molding to the top of where a regular height ceiling would be. I can imagine it would be challenging to find the right pink. I'd keep searching for the right one you can paint the whole room in or just leave as is. No accent.

What is your main goal in wanting a pink-grey on the walls? Do you want the room to feel more cozy, more colorful, warmer? And can you achieve those goals in another way? I too thought of floor length drapery but it seems challenging with your base board heaters.

Sorry, but I am not seeing pink-grey on the walls looking good with the orangey floors. The floors are lovely but will need to be factored in with color choices. If it were me, I would focus on artwork for the walls and some different window treatments. The curtains are not particularly flattering and given the baseboard heat below, not sure you could do full length panels.

One color everywhere, and I'd include the ceiling or at the very least on all and EVERY wall, and no the answer is not pink. Best with all considered? Take a cue from rug, while considering the flooring warmth and orange tone

As to curtains? They don't catch fire from baseboard hot water heat! Get a rod with enough return dept, and skin right over and length is to floor. Otherwise ? Consider a shade treatment: )

In general small rooms look better painted one color. Accent walls just seem to point out that the room is small.

I agree with other comments, I would not do an accent wall in this room. It's better to have fun with a rug and curtains and have them as an accent and keep the walls all the same color.

Love your rug! Can you pull more of it out so that it can be seen in the walkway area of your room? Love, too, your antique bed, pine floors, crisp white walls. My suggestion, pretty pink and white buffalo check draperies hung on that window wall to bring color to that side of the room. Not a gray pink. Happy pink and white! A large check to make a statement, like your rug makes a statement.

I personally think that the juxtaposition of the quilt, and the very busy rug don’t work well together. I would either make the quilt, much more neutral, which would really accent the rug, or make the rug, more neutral, keeping the beautiful quilt, and then painting the accent wall in one of the two colors in the quilt.I think the accent wall would look lovely. But I do agree with everyone else that you’ve got a lot going on in that room with your colors.

I’d leave if you don’t plan on making any other changes, but if you want more interest, consider painting the wall behind bed using a color in the rug. Your colors and pattern mix is fine, just need to be have more of a connection.

Ideas if updating:

Raise curtain rod quite a bit, to draw attention to the cute peak and suggest pink curtains.

Try mirror/small dresser on the empty wall and then you can center bed. Remove sconce and add three prints over bed; one hiding the mark (can reinstall when selling).

Add a small second hand side table, chalk painted and a small lamp.

I have to say, I love the room and paint color. No to painting one wall.

Yes! Longer drapes and higher rod on the window will soften the room a bit more. I like the white sheer drapes.
Add art above the bed to bring in your light pink and gray colors.
Pull rug out a bit, to show a bit more.

Bring in more color with art work above the bed.

A good idea. I think it will look great. Go for it.
