Stainless steel Olde Hall cruet set and biscuit barrel that my parents brought with them when they moved to Canada in 1953. It is the only salt and pepper set that they used. It was on the table for every meal, and even taken along on picnics. It lasted through four children and nine grandchildren. It still looks the same from when I was a little girl. The biscuit barrel was always filled with toffees or Liquorice Allsorts or biscuits. I use them now., especially the cruet set. They also also had a toast rack from Olde Hall that they brought with them that was used every day and it still looks brand new. My sister has that.

Not expensive stuff but definitely built to last!

My crucifix necklace DH bought for me years and years ago. It's the only necklace I wear. We got our 4 yo granddaughter one this year, she said look mummy I have a Jesus necklace just like Ma's! Then she kissed it 💗

katlan, you reminded me of a story Mom told me. She was visiting her friend who had a white bedspread on her bed and a crucifix on the wall behind it. My brother was a toddler and climbed up and walked all over her friend's white bedspread with his dirty shoes leaving marks. Mom asked him why he did that and he said he wanted to see "Christ on a stick".
