need ideas/help to update entry doors & transom

Looking to update front doors and trying to figure out a cost effective way to incorporate current transom window for a higher end look without breaking the bank — is there a way to tie the window and doors together without having to cut concrete?
Thank you!!
Here are our current doors and inspiration doors…looking for transom ideas too!

No. I do not think that is concrete but there is definitely a header between the door and the round top unit. You "could" reframe the entire wall, redo the interior and exterior finishes but then you would be stuck with the fact that the round top is narrower than the door unit and will look awful set on top. Leave well enough alone until you save enough to get rid of the round top and the double door.

Since it’s your “welcome home” spot, make it welcoming. I would add a long, colorful runner and some art or pictures that make me happy.. Maybe a mirror to check your look before you leave the house? Will you need a bench for taking off shoes? A shoe rack for storing those shoes? IKEA might still have a bench with cubbies, which accomplishes both seating and storage. I have a cedar chest that doubles as a seat and stores hats and gloves. If you don’t need a seat, a thin console table might be nice for dropping the mail or storing keys, but not if it’s going to become a drop and ignore and look cluttered spot (I do not have a console table because that would happen in my house).

I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it.

You're still going to have to pay for someone to remove the arch for the transom - I'm wondering if you could have someone frame up an arched shelf so you keep the original arch but close it up for privacy. And, having said that, you could also fill the arch in to accommodate a standard glass panel door and hang an arched decorative piece above to mimic the rest of your arches...

Have you tried to simply contact a glass vendor? I believe a good one will be able to take your existing structure and simply change out the glass to something that meets your privacy request. We have local vendors who can cut out the oval and change the glass to some other shape.

We were going to remove the white grids from the transom and replace with clear hurricane proof glass. We love the doors in the photo….you believe they won’t work?
We also heard we should stick with fiberglass doors? Because of south Florida weather

I would get rid of the double doors and get a single with sidelites. Fiberglass is a fine product, just get out of the box stores, look for a Provia dealer. You cannot "add" hurricane impact glass. You replace the entire unit with a hurricane impact rated unit which would be the frame and the glass (they are all tested and certified as a units).
