WinDor Vinyl vs. Value Aluminum Sliding Doors

Hello,

I live in Southern California and am currently building an addition. My plans have two large Sliding doors on the East wall, 128" x 84" and 104" x 84". This is an open plan room that will have Milgard black on black aluminum windows. Unfortunately, Milgard doesn't have a line that uses both of these sizes, so I need to switch manufacturers.

A designer/builder also suggested that I use aluminum for the sliders for durability and functionality. While I was recently in a showroom, a salesperson suggested I look at the WinDor vinyl.

The most affordable brand of Slider I can find in Aluminum is Value Windows and Doors.

The vinyl sliders I was recommended are WinDor.

The Aluminum is approximately 30% more.

Can anyone share their insight on these brands? Any insight on the performance of aluminum vs vinyl? And, if the room has bronze annodized aluminum windows by Milgard, will the vinyl sliders look too different to be cohesive?

Thank you in advance!
