Any useful tips when making pumkins pies using the Libby can recipe?

I was thinking of making a couple pumpkin pies using the Libby recipe off the label. Normally we just get Costco pumpkin pie but they seem to not have a lot of flavor so I thought I'd try making pies.

I will use a premade crust. I did google last night and apparently the recipe has changed some from what used to be on the can but I wouldn't know the difference since I've never made one. I just remember my mom with her huge Tupperware bowl with the pie mix and her making several pies on Thanksgiving.

So besides just going of the recipe and baking directions, any tips you would recommend? any tips to keep the crust from burning?
