Bathroom vanity

Looking for less obvious places to look for a bathroom vanity. I’m seeing a lot that are 30”, while I would really love to get one that is 32-33 inches because my space would fit one this size — and I was hoping to use as much of that space as possible. But nothing more as the next popular size is 36". I'm struggling finding these sizes at Home Depot or Lowe's — i have not had the best luck with furniture through wayfair so i'm intentionally avoiding it for a bathroom vanity. would live to hear your ideas. appreciate the insights. Thank you!

Does all bathroom vanity setups have a filler? This is what my vanity currently looks like, currently from the wall to the edge of vanity is 31”.

You would order a 30” cabinet and a 3” filler, then field cut down the filler down to 1”. Get a cabinet with no top. Many granite yards, retailers (including Lowe’s) offer templated and installed granite / quartz and stone remnant tops for small jobs.

- thanks for the reply pricklypearcactus. sadly with the area im in the local plumbing and bathroom shops all suck. ive visited more than a few with an attempt to get names of manufaturers and some literature on products but none was available. (on the flipside when i visited a few local lighting stores i was given all the information i could carry). - even still, id have figured even if someone didnt have the answer to my specific question they'd atleast have insight on the Lacava (or Paini) Brands. - i was leaning towards thinking ive probably done all the research and thats pretty much why no one is responding.......it's just be nice to get a reply or two to know for sure.

has anyone purchased a vanity from Vanity Concepts in Mississauga? Nice looking vanities, and the price is right. I'm pretty sure that they're manufactured in CHina because they mention large manufacturing runs being able to keep their prices down. Is there any risk to Chinese Made cabinetry versus something in Canada?

I had the exact same problem. I picked out the vanity I wanted but did not think about the fact that it wasn't made to sit flush against the wall. I spent a month looking for something else, but in the end we decided to go with something shorter and have it not be against the wall. But we were going from 72" to 60" which is probably not workable in your mom's situation. I did find a lot of vanities that did have flat sides and could work in a corner, if you are willing to have the countertop fabricated. They just need to not have any trim detail on the top or bottom like the one you picked out does. I would just look at the ones without the pre-made tops. Because the pre-made top will still leave you with a slight gap because of the countertop overhang. This is an example: Avanity Modero which is sold everywhere, not just at Lowe's. The cabinet we ended up buying is an Avanity Madison which won't work for you, but I assume it is of similar quality. We are pretty happy with it. The drawers and doors have soft close but I do feel like the glides in my Ikea kitchen drawers are better quality. It is very pretty and I wanted a stained wood so I am really happy with our choice. If I had been willing to go with a painted finish, I think we might have stuck with the 72" Modero.

Not all vanities have or need fillers. No need for a filler if the vanity is free standing (away from the wall). Your existing vanity does not need a filler because the doors are partial overlay (doors don’t cover the cabinet) and it 31” wide (not a standard size).

Ours was done with a standard 36" kitchen cabinet. We like the extra space. No filler was necessary.

3. Select desired width. Unfortunately widths are shown out of order and in fractions of an inch; you can't specify a range.
4. decorplanet.com sells them though Fresca vanities are widely available, even on Amazon and Home Depot.

Bertch Cabinets which are made in the U.S.A. has a nice vanities that come in a variety of styles, woods and finishes. They offer 31" or 34.5" heights and 18" or 21" depths and widths of 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36 etc. We installed one of their 60" vanities in our Master Bath over 12 years ago and it still looks great. We also used Bertch kitchen cabinets in a condo we once owned.
