What? Wow, did not expect that. I just started watching Friends because it comes on the same channel as the baseball games. Id turn the tv off at night and Friend s would be on when I turned it on the next day.

RIP "Chandler Bing"...."could you be more missed?" CNN reported that he just

finished a game of Pickleball (he was a great Tennis Player), and jumped in

the Hot tub. Thank you Matthew for all the laughs and giggles.

He survived "everything" and now he's gone. So sad.

Very sad. I liked Matthew Perry in everything he was in, but I never watched an entire episode of Friends. I liked Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe a lot but changed the channel whenever Ross came on screen.

People sometimes say a person died doing something they loved. He was way too young, but I can think of worse ways to go than dying while relaxing in a hot tub.

Loved Friends and still watch it. Great casting and great writing. Really sad news.

I only really knew him as Chandler and of course, I really enjoyed that show.

I wasn't very familiar with him but I just heard someone talking about him saying that with his drinking issues, he had funded a recovery house for men to stay in while they dealt witih getting sober. I thought that was very impressive.

I was very sorry to hear this.

He seemed like a really nice guy and it's sad he died too young.

Really? I had no idea......To me, Keith Morrison was a TV anchor for many years while I was growing up.

This news made me so sad when I heard it. Just loved Matthew Perry - he brought me so many laughs as Chandler Bing. And I was rooting for him as he turned the page on his addiction issues and began to help others. Such a tragic ending regardless of the cause.

I had no idea about the Keith Morrison connection until this morning. I saw KM arriving at Matthew’s home on the news. My first thought was why is Dateline there. Sounds like KM’s been married to Matthew’s mom for a long time.

Same here, but I thought more posters would know him from Dateline. I did know he was Matthew Perry’s stepfather.

Matthew’s mom was Press Secretary for PM Pierre Trudeau.

I found it very sad--I feel like he had more to give the world in his efforts helping the addicted.

Keith and Matthew's mother were married for decades and by all accounts they had a great relationship. I found out last year Keith was his stepdad. I love Keith as I'm a big Dateline fan.
