A lot of places do eyebrow tinting (dye). Just be sure they don’t use anything too dark than your natural color. Occasionally I get a wax and tint and I like it unless too dark. But even if a bit dark it fades in a couple of days but still covers the grays. it’s quick and not expenive.

I find that "NYX Professional Makeup Tinted Brow Mascara" covers grays really well. It's at drugstores or Ulta has it for $8.50. You can also put a little of the mascara on a small flat brush to fill in sparse areas. .

I like Gimme Brow because of the color range. Most brow products I've found are far too warm in tone for me. But I still use Maybelline waterproof mascara when I want a quick fix - it takes less fussing than a brow gel and lasts all day. This woman uses an at home dye product - have not done this myself but it's on my list to try at some point.

I had my brows permanently done a few months ago. It was some of the best money that I have ever spent. Being hypothyroid my brows were almost nonexistent. Mojomom, I thought about getting them tinted but it wouldn't last that long as other hairs grow in. I'm good at plucking and shaping though! There's a lot of do it yourself eyebrow dying kits, I may look into those also.

Kellysar, that's the brand I have, in two shades. Right now I have 3 gray hairs and no matter how much I rubbed the brush on them they didn't change color. The down side of my right brow arch is multi colored. Going up the arch the brows are a mixture of brown and black, the other side has the prettiest shade of copper I've ever seen! :) Also there's a lot of downy hair in that same area and it does take the mascara and still needs filler.

This morning I gave the brow powder another try and although I like how it goes on and looks natural, the powder flakes off, and when I put the brow mascara on top, it was a complete mess.

I need to do more digging around today. I did learn something new though when I fell into YT's beauty hole, is that face primer can also be used as lip primer. I stumbled onto Elf Poreless Putty Primer which can also be used on the lips and around the eyes. Ordered.

GirlnamedGalez, your link doesn't work! Did you have your brows microbladed? I need to do something, as mine are going gray plus they're coming in all different directions, but I don't want anything permanent.

I use the gimme brow as well. It has small fibers and color so it fills in as well as erases the gray. I use the small size and it lasts forever.

This is very timely, since my brows are driving me nuts! For years I tinted my brows using regular hair dye. My GD told me I shouldn't use that around my eyes. So first I tried some Just For Men my husband had used on his. It was Ok, but messy, and too dark for me. So I tried Ardell Brow tint. It didn't cover the gray at all and also doesn't last very long. And I find that the powders mixed with developers are very messy. I, too, use the Gimmebrow and like it, but after a while thick clumps come out on the wand. Maybe I'm getting old stuff. Is the Gimmebrow considered a brow mascara or is that different? I'd try something more permanent, but what about the white hairs that will still pop up? This is hard!

Bluebell66 Yes I had them microbladed. She also does a fill on the 2nd treatment. I am thrilled with the results & wish that I had done it years ago. On FB do a search for Casandra Brown Studio. I don't know why the link is not working. She is who did mine, I am in the Dallas area but I am sure there are techs that can do a great job all over the country. I have 3 friends that went to her that are going gray. Theirs look amazing also. She is really good at matching the hair color. She does lips too, I am very tempted to have that done also.

I use Benefit, but the eyebrow pencil. Goes on super smooth. They also make a finer one, but I like the thicker one (it's not that thick).

Bluebell, there are times I think my brows are on drugs because...well they just grow in different directions, usually down the side of the arch.

I don't think Gimme Brow would be good for me. My problem is both eyebrows are nice and thick up to the arch then starts to thin and turn lighter going down the tail. There are hairs there but if you stood five feet from me you'd think I over plucked them. I do trim the long brows with scizzors which makes a nice difference. If I didn't, there'd be a hair a foot long going straight up. lol

I'm afraid if I use it on the sparse lighter area it would just be a mess. If I had a sudden itch and forget there's stuff there, it'd fall on my eyelids.

Gscience, that tip of the eyebrow pencil is exactly what I'm looking for! Finer tip pencils leave lines no matter how much I smudge them. Looks like a little kid drew lines on the tails.

Can you use it over the fuller parts to cover some of the gray, and the light hairs where it's sparse?

I use a long-wear brow pencil that is almost identical to the one gscience posted above. Mine is from Bobbi Brown and is more expensive at $45 but they do sell refills which are cheaper. I use slate which doesn’t turn orange on my skin and looks more light brown-ish.

My eyebrows are thin and the outer lashes almost ninexistent like yours. I just lightly draw them in over the hairs that are there.

I’m another fan of the Benefit Goof Proof Pencil mentioned by gsciencechick. It is easy to use, comes in charcoal and I can buy it in my nearest Ulta store. I dont think it is waterproof as the Ulta ad mentioned.

I tint my brows myself with Just for Men beard and mustache dye.

Outside, aftert looking at BB's pencil which I like, I looked for slanted tip brow pencils, and found the one I'm getting.

Go to AZ and search for L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Frame and Set, Blonde, 0.08oz. I'm getting a different color, but it's a cream pomade. Scroll down and watch the demo video from Heather Hallman. I have several of the brushes she keeps on hand and look how easy it is.

Oh, too bad about the crumbling, Oakley. You really have to read those reviews! That is one thing i havent found with my BB pencil. I don’t have to roll it up very far and i’ve never had it break off or crumble. Never occurred to me. I don’t have to use a lot of pressure to get results iykwim.

Curious about the Putty Primer (what a name!) Is it a moisturizer orfoundation? Is that all you use now?

I know the putty threw me off in the name but the putty is squalane which is an oil and it's infused in the cream. It helps makeup stay in place and there are other benefits to squalane also.

It's actually thinner than a bb cream but gives better coverage, and because it goes on white somehow I still had the same color skin. BB creams come in different shades. The exceptional coverage is like foundation but not at all heavy. The trick is using a flat concealer brush swiping back and forth, up and down until those pores, bumps, etc. are covered.

I watched some videos and all the womeb them were using their fingers and covering their whole face at the same time.

I was proud of my flawness nose, especially looking into a x10 magnifying mirror. lol I covered every bad flaw one at a time. Use less a tiny bit at a time & keep blending until you're satisfied.

I had the dewy look I've been wanting but never found the perfect product. My eyelids looked at least ten years younger with hardly any crepe or under eye wrinkles.
