Advice on patio furniture selection/arrangement for screened in patio
Comments (4)The furniture looks fine to me. If it is in good condition, you can probably just buy new cushions to make the pieces match or blend better with each other. I would rearrange. Put the loveseats perpendicular to each other and arrange the chairs next to each other. The primary loveseat (facing the view) should have end tables on each side. I agree that a new rug would make a big difference. Nice porch!...See Morepatio furniture for 18 x 18' patio
Comments (6)Depends on if you want a grill on it. Plan on a table and chairs. Round will take up the least amount of space. A good umbrella for shade. Not necessarily one that goes in the table. A seating area or two with a small table in between for drinks. Ours is 16'X16', but we have a side deck that is 6'X12' for the grill area. We have a table and 4 chairs, a large umbrella, a steamer lounge chair and side table, MY rocking chair (that everybody loves and uses!!) with a side table, and a 2 chair seating area with a side table in between. We have 2 areas of egress.....a step to the lower deck and stairs down on the opposite side. We bought really nice patio furniture back in the day and have had it for 38 years. It has been painted and restrapped a couple of times. It has moved with us from Florida to Alabama and to Indiana....See MorePottery Barn Indio Outdoor Dining Patio Furniture anyone?
Comments (42)Fully agree with everyone who is recommending to stay away from the Indio outdoor wood collection. Even with furniture covers and stored indoors in the offseason the paint begins to chip after less than 6 months of use. Can anyone recommend a brand and color of paint that they've used to successfully refinish their pieces? pottery barn’s touch up marker at $30 each couldn’t even cover one arm of what i need to refinish....See MorePoly Adirondack chairs or Cushioned Lounge patio furniture?
Comments (14)Thanks! I did see an earlier post about the Ikea chairs. They are cool but not quite the style I am looking for. I ended up buying the blue set tonight. Hauled it home in the minivan and am sitting on it now. Yay. I will post some photos tomorrow although the patio is weedy and I don't have any accessories or accent pillows or anything yet. There is room on the patio if I want to add more furniture or a pair of Adirondacks later. For now this is good. I saw some inexpensive patio furniture covers and cushion storage bags (not boxes) on Amazon, too. The big cushion storage boxes get expensive. I got a free plastic bag with the cushions so tonight I will put them in the garage. It is a lovely evening to sit outside tonight! Here is the collage I was working on today. The blue is just a touch brighter than our house siding. The gray tile on the table goes with the old gray dining set and there is some brown in the frames and wicker so I can use brown too. I have some little iron tables that I can clean up and re-use for now. I am also working on a small front porch refresh with a new rug and some tidying up....See MoreRelated Professionals
