kitchen design advice!

We’re finishing up our new construction and adding after market cabinet pulls and three island lights. I’m having a hard time visualizing things so I’m looking for advice on cabinet pull style as well as lighting and bar stools. I was thinking black bar pulls on the white cabs and gold on the black island. Appliances will be stainless. Flooring is Mohawk Bleached Linen. White herringbone backsplash to come as well. get the hood in...get the splash installed since you've decided. Youll have to choose a grout shade and how the hood looks [metal?] vs. trimmed in the [wood ?] can have an impact on what final touches you desire. Herringbone tile outcomes vary depending on size / and exact pattern of the tile / grout contrast/ once its laid. It can end up busy...or not so much......so I'm just saying wait a bit. Just off hand I think I'd get more details w pendants and bar stools as opposed to mix n match w cab pulls...Your space is bigger than inspir picture so bringing focus forward to island w lighting and stools makes the most sense to me. You wont be space constrained with stools......the amt of comfort and use at the island can be considerable if you so desire.

I like the tufted look....they seem cozy for real use not just transient.

I'm with Sophie: weird. Is this a split level? In your first floor plan above, it looks like your kitchen walls line up to form a rectangle (all the walls line up) but your lay-out doesn't fill the entire space, as if there are jogs in the walls. That's confusing. It's a good sized kitchen but you're crowding so much into just one area. IMO, you're not using the space you have to its full advantage. Would you please answer my questions about your space as well as tell us more about you and your family? See the link benjesbride posted above.

Without pics it is impossible to really help. I have lived in London with the tiny kitchens and no storage so think storage before placing fr/ fr underneath counters where cabinets are now.I think an apat. size fridge is all you need . You can post pics like a comment.A smaller sink for sure.

Maybe, push peninsula even further back to give more space within. keep chairs with people out of walk way. need panel on right side of microwave hood. Keep same spacing on both sides of window to keep balanced symmetry around window. Stoves that close to corner is not ideal. make sure fillers in corner are wide enough so drawers don't hit handles

cpartist thank you for the modification you suggested to the Master. We have changed our plan to your suggestion! I can't believe we didn't see this. THANK YOU! The master plan as shown was how we have it today and I wake my husband up every morning going in and out of our bathroom. To answer your question about the coat closet, there is one near the stairs for guests. Yes, we are too far along to move the stairs....and trust me, we've moved it around several times and worked and reworked our plan over the last 6-9 months. We are also limited by our lot. Only small changes from this point on. The kitchen & breakfast area are where I'm trying to determine if there is a better option. I know we have a lot of dining spaces....but what I initially wanted was a small breakfast eating area (to accommodate a round table for 4) for daily family usage and larger dining for entertaining. Well, I ended up with a much larger breakfast eating area.
