Roof Color to go with CertainTeed Seagrass Vinyl Siding

We have decided to go with Certainteed seagrass final siding however, we can’t find an Owens Corning roof shingle that we want to go with. We were thinking of sticking with grays. Help! And if you have the siding, a picture of your house, and the color of your roof would be super helpful, please and thank you! What our house looks like now. We are considering getting rid of the awning and having a buildout done over the porch with new railings.

Seagrass is a pretty color, it will look nice. Personally I like more brown tones with greens but that's me. Is it possible to do the siding and then select the roof color? That way you'll be able to see the siding in your own light and test out roof samples with it. Here's a few Seagrass images I found with a google search. The first is more tan, the second more gray. Both look nice.

Removing the awning would update the look of the house. Not sure of your budget, but adding a porch is a pricey addition. Between siding and roofing, it's going to be a big budget project when the porch roof and rail are added but it looks like a nice home so might be worth the investment.

Are you locked into Certainteed for roofing? Here's some Owens Corning roofing with your siding. Their website is a lot easier to navigate and you can upload your home and try different things out. Perhaps Certainteed has the same thing but I found their site a little clunky. Try the visualizer on Certainteed and do a combo of the siding and the roofing options.

If you do remove the awing, it's likely aluminum. Take it to a metal recycling place and get the $$ for it. Don't send it to the landfill.

Top colour with white trim. Middle colour is too brown (dated) and bottom colour is too mauve, My opinion as we all see colour differently. I think the top colour gives you a more current look. Good luck!

My house has white vinyl siding, and it requires constant maintenance in terms of cleaning. We live in the country (we're farmers), and the white shows everything - especially cobwebs, dead (and live!) insects, and dust from the road and surrounding fields. It is especially bad around my entrances and windows (probably because that's where I see it close up). We power wash the house in the spring and fall, and I constantly clean my entrances by hand so that it looks respectable. The house we are building will have darker wood siding and a grey metal roof. I have no doubt that the darker siding will also get dirty, however I think it probably won't show up as much as it does on the white siding.

The windows don’t have the grids the plan shows. White is the only color choice in the vertical siding of that width. I actually thought the house had a simple roof line compared to the neighborhood. It’s a custom home in sea of not, so we needed to blend in somewhat with the neighborhood.
