Vinyl or Hardi Plank siding? Are those the only color options? Personally, I'd prefer something with a bit more contract. What is your trim color?

My house has white vinyl siding, and it requires constant maintenance in terms of cleaning. We live in the country (we're farmers), and the white shows everything - especially cobwebs, dead (and live!) insects, and dust from the road and surrounding fields. It is especially bad around my entrances and windows (probably because that's where I see it close up). We power wash the house in the spring and fall, and I constantly clean my entrances by hand so that it looks respectable. The house we are building will have darker wood siding and a grey metal roof. I have no doubt that the darker siding will also get dirty, however I think it probably won't show up as much as it does on the white siding.

How your house looks with the colors/materials you selected will depend heavily upon the setting in which your house will be setting, and will not be influenced solely in just the front elevation. Vinyl siding looks best when all J-channel is eliminated or concealed. Masonry looks best when it is not confined to one side of a house.

Seagrass is a pretty color, it will look nice. Personally I like more brown tones with greens but that's me. Is it possible to do the siding and then select the roof color? That way you'll be able to see the siding in your own light and test out roof samples with it. Here's a few Seagrass images I found with a google search. The first is more tan, the second more gray. Both look nice. Removing the awning would update the look of the house. Not sure of your budget, but adding a porch is a pricey addition. Between siding and roofing, it's going to be a big budget project when the porch roof and rail are added but it looks like a nice home so might be worth the investment. Are you locked into Certainteed for roofing? Here's some Owens Corning roofing with your siding. Their website is a lot easier to navigate and you can upload your home and try different things out. Perhaps Certainteed has the same thing but I found their site a little clunky. Try the visualizer on Certainteed and do a combo of the siding and the roofing options. If you do remove the awing, it's likely aluminum. Take it to a metal recycling place and get the $$ for it. Don't send it to the landfill.
