Frankly-I'm not sure. Not a big fan of accent walls too, unless architecture supports this choice somehow.. But it doesn't mean it can't be done-or that you won't like it. There are many ways to work with colors, and some are fairly non-standard, and they surprisingly can work..sometimes. Which wall do you want to do in gray? (or-which one you want to feature as white?) (I googled Intense White by the way..I'm sure it shows differently from what it is in reality though, because Gray Owl is right next to it, and reads quite different from your samples..:)

It should be designated for outdoor use. The rug will be Olefin or Polypropelene. Yes they take a while to dry out and they can mildew with too much shade and water but they can be washed with a garden hose and heavy duty cleaner. This isn't the a rendering, (you need a draftsperson for your plans) but it is the roof line idea I want to share. Using the existing garage and raising the roof, that becomes new and quite a large space to add as part of interior living. In front of it you do a new build garage with new gable, and another smaller roof line (shown here as a single car garage) which would have a large window or double French doors, also be part of the new interior, and bring in lot of front light to the old garage. So, you take what you already have (garage) add to it, keeping roof lines appropriate to style of house. Yes, the new addition wlll protrude farther out than the left gable, but landscaping will balance it all out. Property is gorgeous and any new landscaping will just add more curb appeal. My thoughts on building up: it will alter the original lines of a particular style of architecture; it will add interior stairs and change what is so great about a ranch style...one floor living.

Living room dining room combos make me really happy. How many in your household?Do you eat at this table nightly or most commonly eat in the kitchen? Do you sit at this table and do other things like projects, kids with homework, gather with friends? Do you have another living area in this house that you chill out in or is the seating in this room going to be the makn ha g out space in your home? Who will sit here and when, what time of day, to read, be with guests, hang out? I’d love to see the table turned 90 degrees so it is parallel to the window and living in that area next to and along side the window. It just makes sense to me for the layout and lines of this room. It may or may not make sense though for who uses this space and when. Main question, do you want the daylight and view from the window to be enjoyed as a table space or sofa space? The buffet /cabinet is a great piece but looks super bad next to the wood where it is currently located. I’d put it on the long white wall near where your desk is currently located and use it as a visual bridge between you window/dining area and a sitting area where your sofa is currently located. Light fixture is fine where it is do not use it to determine furniture zones. Stone area is a lot of look. Don’t put furniture or other things over there. Just give it space to be what it is. Nice that you dont need desk, piano, or TV in here.
