Jennifer, Pottery Barn has been selling the Megan chair for years so I suspect that a lot of consumers are satisfied with the chair. I hate to bash it, just wanted you to try it on for size so to speak. Parson's chairs are really popular right now. I got leather ones for a fraction of the Pottery Barn price and they're okay quality. Since they are destined for my dining room they won't see the abuse that say my kitchen nook chairs do. I tend to get bored with my furnishings and I often switch out chairs as the trends change so I don't like to spend a lot. I have a photo of the Pottery Barn chair compared to the one I ended up purchasing, you can see how much deeper and wider it is. The quality is comparible and my chair is sturdier so I'm satisifed. PS Don't pay attention to the slipcover, it's merely a musin pattern. If you have basic sewing skills, you might find it easy to prepare a custom pattern for your chair. Additionally, there are slipcover patterns that allow for a looser, generic fit. I think it's worth the effort to draft a pattern from muslin. Also, you can opt for coordinating piping and other options not offered by Pottery Barn.

Pleased to report an update! a few weeks ago, i echoed several negative reviews of the Pottery Barn Pearce sectional sofa. after contacting the company and sharing my experience, I am pleased to report that they are making it right! my faith in their customer service has been renewed and strengthened. while I hope they're able to correct the quality issues with this beautiful sofa in the future, I am delighted they are standing by their customer. In the meantime I look forward to trying another sofa with better reviews. I appreciate the positive comments about the PB Basic styles, as im leaning that direction And again, their slip covers are amazing! I will always be a fan!

I’m going to purchase two slipcover sofas. I’ve looked at the York grand. Can you advise the best fabric to choose?

We love our Pottery Barn York sofas. We chose Belgian Linen Natural and therefore have no experience with the Chenille. The Belgian Linen is a thicker fabric and the feel is more firm than the performance linen shown on the floor, but the fabric does not stretch out and wrinkle on the bench seat cushion and the back cushions hold their shape well. Get a sample of the fabric and check its durability as some of their performance fabrics do not hold up well.
