Thanks so much for the comments everyone. We are still about a month out from starting but I will definitely post pics of the finished project. A local tile store (apex in parsipanny nj) loaned me a sample to keep at home for a bit. We contemplated doing a marble island but with two young boys just decided it wasn't a smart option for us. Although I know a backsplash can also stain (we will seal it) I'm ok with taking that risk. Thanks for raising the point about installation. I will definitely check with my contractor. I actually think another girl is cheating by using one of those FB pages to get likes - for likes. It's so frustrating. I think it ends tonight (I had the date wrong) so I still have a chance to catch up!! Bee - the manager asked if I knew you because I posted about seeing you kitchen when she first started the contest, and falling in love with the tile last year. :) She was really nice and said she noticed I had been winning all the way up until yesterday. My hubby sees how much I'm working to win (asking everyone I know to post it to their friends too, texting, calling, etc.) so I think even if I don't win we will find a way to get the tile. I hope so!!! Thanks again for your "likes"!

I live a few hours south of you so won't be of any help with local places but I know the business that I use can order just about anything as long as I know who the company who makes it is. If they need to do a special order then the shipping could be a bit extra but if it is what you wants then who cares? Try a locally owned reputable business. :)

Working on this lobby for a theater that we are designing. The client loves the design, now I need to figure out how to build it. Can anyone recommend a source for the large faux concrete tiles (or other material) shown on the right wall. Also need to find a company who can create the custom design on the floor tiles. Much Appreciated. Glen
