What about something in between light vs dark and a touch of grey to work with flooring and maybe better suit the light brown cabinets.

I agree with Maureen, I don't think either of the tables you're showing is right as far as color. The style of what you're showing makes me think of folding tables used in offices circa 30 years ago, so I don't have a good association with that style either.

IMO none of the ones you post. I agree look like cheap folding tables. Why wood at all, or maybe a wood base and a nice thick glass top . Please no bench seating it barely works at a picnic table and for sure not for anyone wearing a skirt .

Another choice to consider, would be a white tulip table. No wood at all.

Chairs can really add up, so hard to suggest, as well without seeing or knowing what your other furniture looks like…here are some that might work with table at least (from Target so well priced). Also, if adding black chairs (which I was going to suggest), consider a black chandelier. I’d test some chairs at the table before deciding.

@njmommaYes.. you are right! they are nice. But I need a big one- to seat about 8-10 people. The big ones get really expensive.

@Maureen Thank you! These are really nice- I live in Canada and there is no target unfortunately! (and everything is 2X more expensive compared to U.S.) I have to find similar ones elsewhere- I was also thinking of black chandelier to go with the kitchen hardware. So that's good that you suggested the same!

IMO your table selections look too close to folding tables.

I understand the neat, clean appearance but any of the tables offered above are more interesting, though tables that are supported at the outer edge are hard to group chairs around in general.

I was on Marketplace just now and saw this beautiful table (sits 10) and wondered if you tried Marketplace. You have to be patient, but it’s amazing what you can find.
