Skim coating and repairing severely damaged wall

When I was initially hired for this project I was misinformed of the condition of this particular wall. It wasn't until I began writing that I realized how damaged it was and would need to be completed scraped and plastered if there was any hope of saving the job. So I proceeded to scrape all the loose paint from the wall and began skim coating a total of four coats before I was able to get it to that fine smooth surface I was looking for. Then I was able to finish the project color matching and painting it to the customer's choice. She was extremely satisfied with the end result. Unfortunately, a project that should have only taken a day or two turned into almost a week because of the previous painter providing such a poor service for the unsuspecting customer. The other painter never primed the wall before painting and left the customer with major damage that needed to be addressed before being able to move forward.
