On May 23, 2020 as the pandemic was still in it's infancy, a young woman seeing me in my yard on my scooter stopped by and presented me with this "lift your spirits" bag of goodies. It included some candy, a little book of verses, a yard decoration, and several other little encouraging good thoughts items. She sat them on the porch, gave me a hug and left. I learned later that she did this around the neighborhood giving out many of her "lift your spirits" bags to others.

when toys become more than just toys. my grandson at 4 years old, helping with fall yard cleanup. when i asked him what he was doing, he said he was "earning his keep". he will soon be 7 and still loves that little tractor. 💞

Bethel Springs trail. A relatively new Land Trust trail that had opened and we had a nice spring day in 2020 during the week to check it out.

No trick or treating that year, so i set up this scary lady and candy on her table.

In October 2020, I put out a call to KTers to help identify this herb. At someone's suggestion, I left it in the water until it rooted and I planted it. It's Sweet Marjoram, one of my favorites.

We went to the Grand Canyon in 2020. Because of Covid, it was virtually deserted, and we had the whole place to ourselves. No international tourists, just a (very) few roadtripping Americans there. The peace was incredible.

Year of the garden expansion. There are two cherry trees here now, one a dwarf and some melons and squash again.

While everyone was adjusting to the new normal, Lady and I were getting our 100 miles done for virtual Tevis. She taught me to ride in balance and I taught her (an older walking school horse) to love trotting mountain trails. So many memories were made that fall. We rode in heat, cold and rain and in a dark afternoon under reddened skies. I still ask to ride her now and then.
