What could cause my melon plant to die so suddenly?

This is so bizzare. Yesterday it was totally fine and then today it started wilting as the sun started hitting it and then completely shriveled to death during the day. It’s still like this now at 10 PM. Not moistute because my watermelons and cucumbers next to it are doing fine. No injury either upon inspecting the whole plant. Could there even be a disease that can just suddenly kill a melon plant within few hours? I grew the same melon last year too and it was fine until the end of the season.
