With that view I would never close my blinds. As far as looks whatever you like is what is pleasing. This is why I use solar shades for windows with a view but heat and UV control is a must they control that but allow the view .Isee quite a lot of sun coming in those windows you might want to check out solar shades since even small amounts of UV will fade your wood floors .

I would lift them open to have a clean clear view.

If you don't ever close them I would remove them because the ones in the sitting area look a little messy

I don't like the look of the top stack when they're completely open. We removed them from windows where they'll never be closed and it looks so much nicer - clean and uncluttered.

Great view! I would have them fully open during the day and would close them at night (but admittedly i find big pitch-black windows unsettling)

Mini-blinds are not the best for those of us that like to keep window coverings fully open. When they are closed, I also dislike seeing slats/bars across my windows! When open they don't really stack neatly.

Our previous house had mini-blinds on all the windows and we changed them all out to Duette cellular shades by Hunter Douglas. The bedrooms got room darkening and the other rooms got light filtering. The shades were kept open and only closed when the sun was shining right through them or at night for privacy.

With the Duettes you can also get the bottom-up/top-down option, which allows you to cover the bottom part of the window and have views out the top. We keep our bathroom blinds in that position.

There is something to be said for having options...which you have! Getting rid of them, as some have suggested, takes away your ability to ever control the light/heat/privacy (is that a public waterway behind you?). And I agree that blank, uncovered windows at night can make you feel very exposed, but it sounds like you never close them, so you must be used to that. As for what is most aesthetically pleasing, your view is nice, so enjoy it...it is your HOME, not an Architectural Digest photo shoot. We have shades on kitchen/BR windows and a lovely view of our flower-filled garden; I raise them when I want to look at it, but keep them closed when we are gone. We have uncovered French doors leading to the patio/pool area, so that is always visible, but at night it is a black hole and in the early morning, it gets blinding, direct sun for about an hour...wish I could minimize that a bit, but overall, I don't want to cover the doors, so I live with it.

You have such a nice feeling in the rooms I would do more to keep the eye in the room while leaving the windows completely unobstructed, so you have the benefit of all the light and vague color shapes outside, retaining the feeling of spaciousness, nature nearby, without "featuring" the view. For instance, I might put a one thick waterfall column of drapery panel at the left end of the window in the room with the white sofa, whatever color or print you prefer that is an eye-stopper. I think I might run some hanging wine racks up that wall that already has wine shelves (straight spines that hold bottles horizontally), or get just the right bar unit.
