My grandparents' dog slept in a tree like that cat when they lived in Tucson during WWII.

actually, the nest is probably very comfortable .. with the twigs incorporating with the mop threads - helping it to sink into the mop for greater protection - to give it stability ... just susceptible to heavy heavy rain. great vantage point as well.

Compared to normal dove nests, that is a very deluxe model.
