I've seen a couple of robins around here since last week, ded - and there was/were a flock of gulls a while ago, but saw none lately. Seldom see any in winter. Thankful that they don't fly near clothesline when clothes hung out. Unusual to hang clothes out in winter, also: they tend to freeze stiff. About half of moisture goes directly from solid to vapour, called sublimation. Dry quickly when later drape over furniture, or hang on line in basement. Haven't been off of the farm in nine days. Noting that my face is looking different: there's hair showing up all over it! Do you think that I should transplant some atop this ancient, substantially bare scalp? ole joyful

Walking down the street using his mom's tool ... is usually helpful. Using his substantially ... can get you run over (unless, being in mom's pouch, she avoids cars, so you get home free). Unless he blocks her sightsightsightsightsightsightsightsightlines too heavily. o j

Son and I, decluttering the house, find that many boxes can be recycled. Most? o j (No cats, here). ETA: Annie, it looks as though Mrs. O'Hara's arms, developed possibly at about the period when those old books were popular, has developed well enough to get that tool in her hand to give them the brush off. o j
