DR window covering dilemma. I need advice.
Comments (7)You mentioned the light fixture ... the one that is there now is too large for your table. It should be no wider than your table width less 10-12". Re the window treatment, I can see a cornice board or fabric valance that echoes the paint treatment on the front of the hutch. Maybe something like this jacobean one. You can achieve the look of a painted cornice board by painting the board a similar color and the applying a wallpaper border on top to achieve a custom painted look. If you want to get more creative, you can do an asymmetrical window treatment. Maybe something like the below, only I'd make the board wider than the window and put a drape underneath on the right side to the floor. You could also replace the blinds with an inside mount roman blind, perhaps a relaxed roman to add some softness. Lots of options here for sure....See MoreWindow covering dilemma

Comments (2)I went with simple drapes for our bow window. 96 inches floor to almost ceiling. took 6 panels. had to sew 3 panels together. when I want privacy I close them. simple and easy. if u go with any type I'd blinds you'll wreck your wood and then when you want change yiur screwed. the finished look is very nice...See Morewindow covering dilemma: tall high window
