Is website to get out of a thread?

Is there any way to MUTE a particular thread--not ALL my comments, just certain threads?(And/or could those of you commenting on threads with hundreds of posts start a new one please?? My entire inbox is 400 replies because I made one comment on that thread six months ago)

At the very bottom of the thread, there should be a notice that says 'Click to switch off email notifications about new comments'.

Click it.

If it isn't there, I don't know what to say.

It's so much better to read this (and other) forums on the web. I just click on my bookmark of it and see all of the threads in chronological order of replies, then I click on whatever thread I want to read, which are also arranged chronologically. This is what I use: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/roses

it is the tension, both your top and bobbin tension. you need to adjust it. for example if you are using normal thread that sew find before, then once you change into thicker thread, and your thread would act up on you. you'd have to play with the tension, but if you have a drop-in bobbin, i suggest you don't play with your bobbin tension unless you have a extra one, always leave one with untouch setting, and use the extra one to play with your tension. if you don't have an extra bobbin for your drop in bobbin, then just get new thread. it's better to spend that extra few dollar on new thread. then spending hours playing with your tension settings. trust me. and thank me later. good luck. feel free to drop by my site. www.stitchcanada.com , www.sewinglife.info

Slight shift in topic: is there any way to mute certain threads so that they never appear at all when viewing in a browser? There are a number of off-topic "conversational" threads that have hundreds of replies that I would very much like to have vanish from my GW feed. @Houzz
